A lil bit about my home city, Curitiba!

I have lived in the United States since I was eleven years old, but I am originally from a city in Brazil called Curitiba. Curitiba has a very European vibe, with old Portuguese structures that must maintain intact by law. The first picture is of the Universidade Federal do Parana, which is a free state university, yes I said FREE! Every year over 30 thousand people participate in a two part test to get into this university which offers campuses all over Curitiba and it has a very broad graduate course selection.

I try to travel to Brazil every year because I still have plenty of family there, including my dad and my younger brother. My aunt has some land just outside of Curitiba where we go to relax and listen to the birds. In her land she has chickens, ducks, pigs and so much fresh produce. As much as I love Curitiba and the city lights, I really enjoy running away and connecting with nature when I am there. It reminds me that life is simple while valuing the hard work that goes into cultivating food.

Curitiba also offers a variety of natural parks where people can go exercise and get some sun all week long. The parks also make it great backdrops for gorgeous pictures. Parque Tangua is very close to where I stay, not only it has beautiful gardens it is the perfect place for picnics and very children and pet friendly.

Overall going to Brazil and my home city is always a fun trip. Curitiba has great public transportation to help you get to where you want to go and it is also a trendy place. The styles in store and on the streets its very unique and colorful, needless to say I fit right in with my wardrobe! Another trendy thing to do was to visit coffee shops, they are all unique to their own style, some more futuristic, others more rustic, but they all offer a great mix of international and Brazilian pastries and cakes along with that perfect cup of coffee!

Thank you for following me on my IG stories throughout this trip, I hope you enjoyed a little bit of my birth city! :)
